Ventura Not Recognizing Internal SSD and Not Indexing It

I have a mid 2017 iMac (5K 27") with 2 internal SSD drives. One is a 2 TB SSD PCI-Express drive containing Ventura and and the other is a 4TB SSD drive that contains my data which physically replaced my harddrive.  Both drives are accessible but I have 2 issues:

1) In Finder, under Locations, my Mac does not list the data SSD drive. Finder Favorites previously setup to data locations on the drive are accessible. I can get to the drive level by selecting "Show in Finder" from Disk Utility but it disappears once I move off of it.

2) Spotlight is not indexing my data SSD. I cannot search in Spotlight or from my finder for data files on this drive. It cannot find the simplest searches. I forced spotlight to reindex through terminal with no resolution.  When I drag and drop the drive or any folder from that drive into Privacy to tell Spotlight not to search these locations, I get a "Privacy List Error" - The item couldn’t be added or removed because of an unknown error.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and hopefully have a work around.

Thank

Howie

No workaround yet, when I updated to Ventura, my 4tb sanDisk pro which holds all of my Adobe creative cloud apps, would not let me update at apps. I can still open the old ones on the disc but it takes way longer to verify the app. Ve also read that another iOS update had rendered those hard drives useless previously and was resolved by changing the journaling or partitions on the Mac’s drive but haven’t tried that yet. Would love to get the solution in order to keep up to date. As the hard drive was quite expensive
