Removing features (e.g., Text/Email PDF) is the "switching to Google Docs" Feature.

So now to send a PDF via email or text, one has to now export it and save it to a location. Then find the file (e.g,. PDF), and send from there. Next to none of my clients use Pages. So sending documents, converting them to PDF (and sometimes Word) is critical. Now Apple just removed that one step process to 3-4 steps. And that is an improvement?!!!

It's bad enough when a product update is nothing more than rearranging the menu. Now it's removing features.

Unless you have the Pages v12.2 File menu > Send a Copy menu item. Not all do apparently.

You are not addressing Apple nor the Pages product team here, but fellow users. Have an issue with the application, then send feedback to the product team via the application menu > Provide Pages Feedback menu item.

My Pages v12.2 has a File menu > Send a Copy > Mail > export format panel (Pages, PDF, Word, ... etc.) which works just as the Share menu > Send a Copy, or Send a Copy toolbar item have worked for years.

And are you on Ventura? From an earlier thread where I saw your post, I got the impression you had not upgraded. So I'm wondering if this is an issue with macOS and not app-specific.

Btw, prior to my original post, I did send feedback to Apple. That said, I do know that occasionally, Apple folks to read these forums. So I'm trying to increase the volume as this is truly a major faux pas.

I have the same issue and find it equally baffling that Apple would make things more complicated for us.

The only work around is using handoff with my iPad. The iPad apps still allow you to export to pdf and email without saving it.

I have v12.2. File menu > Send does not allow you to select a format as previous version of Pages (and all iWork apps) did.

The same problem here... I is more than just disturbing — makes daily work quite over-complicated and frustrating. Is there any solution for this problem? I would be more than grateful!
