Screen Time not syncing on Family Share

I recently moved to iOS from Android. My wife and 2 kids have always had iOS and had Family Sharing set up. My wife (organizer) added me to the Family Share as a Parent/Guardian with the 2 kids. Everything seems to be working well, we were able to share our AppleTV+ and iCloud+ subscriptions across the family. However, for some reason I cannot see the children's screen time settings or activities. It still works for my wife to manage and see their activity, but when I go the 'Screen Time' section for either of the kids (Settings -> Screen Time -> Kid A) I only see a 'Turn on Screen Time' option. Even though it's already on and working for my wife, I have tried to turn it on from my phone to see if it would over-write the existing and sync across both parents, but once I set it up it just spins forever and never loads any data.


Having access to the screen time was a large portion of the reason I switched to iOS, so this is quite frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are a few things that may be able to help out.


Try having the Family Organizer toggle the 'Ask to Buy' setting to off for the child's account, and then wait a few minutes, and toggle it back on. That may help to refresh things. This page helps to go over the feature: Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy - Apple Support


If anyone in the group is using the 'Share Across Devices' option, try enabling or disabling the feature on every device.


It may also help to try having each person temporarily change their device's name. This page goes over changing the name for iPhone: Change the name of your iPhone - Apple Support


1. Go to Settings  > General > About > Name.
2. Tap the Clear Text button, enter a new name, then tap Done.
