iphone 14 Uconnect not longer auto plays music

Hey y'all. Just got the iphone 14. Everytime i get in my vehicle and get uconnect up and running it no longer autoplays my music from my iphone. I have to press play on the song on my iphone. I have never had this issue before usually once bluetooth connects music starts playing. what am i missing?

Apple music playing every time I connect via Bluetooth to my car I am bringing up an old question because I have not yet seen an answer to it. I have an iPhone 13 and every time I connect to Bluetooth in my car, because I want to hear some thing like an article being read to me or maybe it’s YouTube, II have to listen to apple music at the same time as the article or whatever app I’m trying to listen to ! if I pause the music player then everything gets paused, I don’t even have the app open when this happens and there’s no way to shut it off as soon as I swipe to close that music playing app and start to listen to my story again it turns back on. I don’t even use Apple Music but I have two songs on my phone. What is going on that there’s no way to control what is played through Bluetooth? Do I seriously had to delete the songs on my phone in order to prevent this? I should be able to use Bluetooth for whatever I want.

It sounds like you're noticing some unexpected behavior when you connect your iPhone 14 to your Uconnect enabled car. We can help.

You may want to first check to make sure you have the latest version of Uconnect installed so that it is compatible with iOS 16. You can check out these steps to Check if your system is ready for a software update.

If it is, go ahead and update and then test your iPhone again while connected.
