How to fix Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active.

I’ve had this plan for a long time and this is the first time I’ve had problems with this:
“ Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active.
this message comes up every time I send to anyone but an iPhone. Pls help!
Me too!!! It was just seemingly out of the blue.
What carrier do you use? Just curious if it might be TFW /T-mobile via My Family Mobile (Walmart) Also, I understand Verizon recently acquired TFW/ My Family Mobile plans. Wondering if that also has play into this "out of the blue" change- at least on my phone.
Contact your cell service provider, that message is from them.
You only have a Data plan.
You may not have an SMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS services.
