IOS 16.1 main font change

Since i upgrade to IOS 16.1. The main font (not the lock screen font) has changed such that there is more spacing in lines and it also seems to be a slightly different font. My main issue is that this font is wasting a lot of space on the screen because of its 1.5x line spacing. Has anyone else noticed this also?

I did a lot of research myself and finally got the fix. Shamelessly even Apple support couldn't figure that out. Basically in Language and Region I also had my regional language in the preferred languages, removed it and problem was solved. just make sure you only have one preferred language..let me know if this works for you…enjoy mate cheers!

Hi ahmed_pa,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that the font is different on your Lock Screen. You can edit your custom Lock Screen.

1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears at the bottom of the screen.
2. Swipe to the Lock Screen you want to edit, then tap the Add New button.
3. Do any of the following:
*Change the style of the time: Tap Customize, tap the time, then select a font, color, and shade by tapping the Custom Color button.

Personalize your iPhone Lock Screen

Regards.
