Stage manager not working with maxed out apps on second virtual desktop

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with stage manager. Since I've used Windows for about 90% of my life and only switched to macOS two years ago, I still tend to max out my windows (not with the green full-screen button but simply dragged over the entire screen; menu bar is still visible). Usually I work with two virtual desktops. On the first, I have my university stuff (like Word, Safari, PowerPoint, etc.). On the second, I have my work stuff (like Teams, Outlook, etc.). Now here's the problem:

Stage manager with maxed out windows only works on my first virtual desktop (I drag the mouse to the very left of the screen and stage manager swoops in; almost like the dock when you set it to hide). When I do the exact same thing on the second virtual desktop, stage manager doesn't "swoop in". I can only see stage manager after I make the window a bit smaller on the left side.

Here are some screenshots so you can visually see what exactly I'm talking about:

Virtual Desktop 2:

(Since you can't see my mouse: I dragged it to the very left in every screenshot).

Is this a current bug that will get fixed later on or is this intended?

Also, it's got nothing to do with my ultra-wide monitor, because I have the same behavior on my MacBook.

Thanks for any answers in advance!

There are many issue with the introduction of Stage Manager in macOS Ventura... I suspect point updates to follow will resolve some of these.
