IPhone12 - there is NO toggle for roaming (on/off) in Cellular data or anywhere else!

Here’s the problem: I want to toggle on my data roaming settings because i’m going abroad. But when it comes to the cellular data settings / options, i find it missing from the settings. How should i solve this?

I see this question was asked in 2018 but I have an iPhone 12. Also, the answer pointed to cellular and there it would be. It is NOT there. I’m in another country and want to turn it on(to use Global AT&T plan… but there is NO toggle.

Hello Notoggleroaming,

Looking into this, those settings can be found by completing the following from: About cellular data roaming options for your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

Turn off Data Roaming or prepare for a trip

Need to avoid roaming charges because you arrived at your destination without an international data plan? Check your Cellular Data options and turn off Data Roaming.

1. In the Settings app, tap Cellular, or Cellular Data, or Mobile Data.

2. Turn on Cellular Data, then tap Cellular Data Options.

3. Turn off Data Roaming. (1,2)

If you're not seeing those options, we recommend first reaching out to your cellular provider to see if roaming options are available.

Roaming is definitely offered by AT&T.

i followed instructions. There is NO toggle or even mention of the word roaming under “cellular data”. Is this a faulty phone?

And yes - signed up with International Call at AT&T so got here, didn’t work for phone/text/search engine so basically can use only when near wi-fi.

On mine (with AT&T) under Settings > Cellular the first switch is Cellular Data (On/Off) and the second line is Cellular Data Options. I have Roaming Off.
