1 on badge icon in settings

How do I remove the number “1” highlighted in red color on my settings icon badge? Thanks much.

How do I get rid of the badge icon on iPad Settings app? Ever since the last update, there is a red one showing up on my settings icon. When I open settings, there’s no action for me to take. When I close settings, the one goes away but then sometime later it shows up again. Is anyone else having this problem and does anybody have a solution? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Removing status badges from lock screen Hello! My lock screen has two persistent badges on it, one from Pocketcasts. One from FB Messenger. Both just tell me current app statuses (“nothing playing at the moment”, “you’re all caught up with messages”, etc.). I want to remove these but have had no luck finding the correct setting. It’s not Lock Screen notifications but some kind of persistent badge or widget. Image below

The Settings App may be notifying you that your iPhone may have an update waiting to be downloaded and installed OR the Settings app may have some other notification that it wants you to interact with.

Have you opened the Settings app to see what the notification is?
