Our MacBook is not charging when plugged in. How do we get it to charge?

The Macbook was updated recently and now isn't charging when plugged in. It is at 5%. How can we get it to charge. We tried a power cord for another and it didn't help.

For more help, learn what to do if your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac laptop or if your MagSafe cable or power adapter isn't working. If issues persist, shut down your Mac, close the display for 30 seconds, then try to charge again. Or if you have an Intel-based Macreset the SMC.
