Can't get my AirPods setting to pop up

i Cant seem to get to my air pods setting to pop up all I get it the forget the device rename it the type of device and to disconnect (not sure if this will help, but the AirPods have been connected to a different iOS before) I was just wondering if someone can help me get my settings so I can customize my AirPods
