Pro Video Formats 2.2.4 update on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 — signature missing or invalid

Hello,

I'm getting a message of update available on my Macbook Pro 2013 running Catalina 10.15.7. However, when I click "Update now", it says "The digital signature on the update is missing or invalid."

I did some research on Google trying to find information about Pro Video Formats 2.2.4, but I could only find results for the version 2.2.3. It's like 2.2.4 never existed. Now I can't remove this so I wouldn't receive the "updates available" notification anymore. It's annoying, because it's an update that will never install, but I receive the update notification message every day.

Is there a 2.2.4 update available for download? If not, how can I remove this update from the Macbook cache, so I won't receive notifications about this anymore?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the solution:

  1. Download the Pro Video Formats 2.2.4 installer via Support.Apple.com
  2. Run the installer.
  3. Quit System Settings and restart it.
  4. Select 'System Update' when it shows.

The installer will update the Pro Video Formats. Once you've selected 'System Update' in System Settings, it will check to see if there are any updates. When Update sees the formats have been updated, it will remove the alert from System Settings.
