Why can’t I see my friend’s location in iMessage?

Why can’t I see my friend’s location in iMessage? I have 4 different people total that share their locations and I can see 3 off them in our messages except for one person. I have to go to the Find My app to locate them. They all have iPhones.

That person may not have accepted to share their location with you.
