MXF Video without Sound, how to match with XML File?

The xml file doesn’t contain audio, but suggests that the actual mxf files DO have audio.

Where are you seeing the videos without audio? After importing into FCP? In the browser? In the timeline?

Do these files play in Quicktime Player?

There’s no audio in the XML file; it’s data only. Open the MXF file in an application like MediaInfo and see what it says about the audio. The XML seems to indicate that there are four channels of audio, but doesn’t show if there’s anything on them.

There's definitely something there. The question is why can't you play it. Would it be possible to upload a short clip to somewhere like Dropbox or WeTransfer and post a link here. The link will likely be removed but we'll still get it.

I am not familiar with the particular camera. Is it possible that they were recorded, for example, selecting an audio source that was off or not available, like an external mic, instead of one built into the camera?

Did you try playing back those clips in camera? Do they play with audio?

Do other clips recorded with the same camera play with audio?
