Screen recoding

I can screen record on my iPhone 5SE no problem, but when I try to play it back, all I get is audio. How do I make it so that I can see the video part of the clip instead of just hearing the

speech?

Depending on what your trying to record, it may be blacked out on purpose for copyright protection.
