Yes it is possible. Ensure that your iPad is signed with the same Apple ID as your iPhone. On your iPad, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ Find My ➡️ Tap on Use this iPad as My Location: Also ensure that Share My Location is set to ON.
