Make Safari default browser

Unable to make Safari my default browser after issues with one web site forced a change. Running Monterey 12.6 and Safari 16.0. Old Apple Support does NOT work on M1 iMac.

Change the default web browser drop down menu.

Safari is no longer supported on my MacBook Pro 13 Safari is no longer supported on my MacBook Pro 13. No update available. I am running macOS High Sierra v 10.13.6. Safari v 13.1.2.
