Apple Music Always Showing Composer Name Instead of Artist Name

Is the issue only occurring with Apple Music created playlists or is it also occurring in the playlists you created?

Also, does restarting the Mac using the steps below that are also listed here: Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support seem to resolve the issue?

Restart your Mac

• On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > Restart.

• If you don’t want app windows that are open to reopen when your Mac restarts, deselect “Reopen windows when logging back in.”

Hi! So I was having this same problem actually, and I was able to figure out how to turn it off. If you go onto Apple Music and open any song or album and click the three dots on the right side, click on 'Get Info', multiple song / album information logs will appear. All that needs to be done is to select the box that says "Show composers in all views" and tick the box off so that it isn't on anymore. Once you hit OK, the settings should automatically reset on your Mac, and will reset simply by relaunching the Apple Music app on your iPhone. Hope this helps!

I was having the same issue it was super annoying, it happen after iOS 16 update but I was able to fix it.

Simply sign out of Apple Music and sign back in. Problem fixed, only shows artist names and not composers. Hope this helps.

Did you ever get this sorted? I just noticed this problem as well on my iPhone 14 Pro when I was listening to Apple Music.

Doesn’t actually work for me. Those options have always been unchecked on my MacBook. It’s only doing it on my iPhone and I first noticed it when using CarPlay.

This only helps for that particular song you select. We’re asking how to turn it off for all songs and when you add songs. We don’t want to have to do this every time we add new music.

Well it didn’t work for me. So now what? Signed out on my MacBook. Restarted my MacBook. Signed back in. Names are still there.
