How can I fix my phone to update to the latest IOS 16? I keep getting download error and yes I’m connected to my charger and Wi-Fi while doing it. I do not have a computer to use

As long as it working now you might want to wait and see if the next release will install over the air for you. Make sure that you have an up to date backup in iCloud. You could potentially do the upgrade on a friend's computer or at an Apple Store.
