What happened to my 1,000 plus songs from my I-Tunes library. I need them back.

Apple music It told me to sync my library and it deleted all my ****. I had over 2,500 songs and I want them back.

What happened to my library? I had loaded music from CD's, it's all gone, including my favorites and playlists. I used to have detailed iTunes Library. Now all my playlist that were created years ago are all gone. The songs that were previously uploaded from CD's --- gone. Some songs/albums are hit or miss - a track may be there; however, many songs are gone. What happened?
