Apple TV Purchased Library empty

Over the years I have purchased a large number of movies and TV shows from the iTunes store. Recently my Library stopped updating with my new purchases. I have signed in and out repeatedly. Now my library on both my Apple TV device and laptop is empty. I can still access purchased movies and shows though the Watch Now tab. But I have to search for everything individually. Why are all my purchases no longer showing up in my library?
