HDMI connector doesn’t work with ios16

Ever since I updated to iOS 16, the HDMI adapter accessory no longer works. In most streaming apps I have no sound or no picture or both when connected to the tv. My husband has the same phone but is still running iOS 15. The adapter works fine with his. It is not the cable or adapter or tv that has the issue. Is this a known problem? (It seems to be after searching the net but not seeing solutions) How can I fix it?
