Charging Iphone 14 Pro

I just got an Iphone 14 Pro, and the sales guy told you can not charge it with old iphone 10 chargers or USB. Now checking this it seems you can but because its 5w its slow charging but wont damage phone, is that correct? Can i use my old chargers and cables to charge iPhone 14 pro?
