New M1 iMac won't start after restore from old one

My new iMac M1 2021 (Apple chip) stuck halfway with the apple logo and progress bar when I restored it from a Time Machine backup of my old iMac late 2015 (intel i5). It keeps rebooting and stuck at same screen as a loop.

I tried disk utility and couldn’t find error on the SSD.

I did a clean install of osx without problems and it worked great.

But when I restore my Time Machine backup from the old mac the loop starts again.

I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experiences with me.

I already read and tried most solutions here on different forums.

You may be installing the old Intel operating system bits.

Either use a Time Machine backup of your 2015 iMac during the initial setup phase of the clean installed macOS Monterey when it asked to restore from a mounted Time Machine drive or finish the setup of your clean install. Then on the same LAN segment invoke Migration Assistance between the two Macs and only transfer over user data and settings, not applications. Subsequently, install new third-party applications clearly stated by their vendor to be compatible with macOS Monterey and ideally using the Apple Silicon (ARM64e) architecture, or Universal2 binaries.
