Macbook Air 2020 M1 connected to dual Apple 27" Thunderbolt Displays?

Hi

Work has recently given me a new 2020 Macbook Air M1, which is awesome.

I've since learned this Macbook only supports one external display.

I've read and watched many tutorials on connecting additional displays using DisplayLink hubs, so have purchased the Dell D6000, but still cannot get both Thunderbolt Displays to work.

Has anyone had any success connectting two Apple 27" Thunderbolt Displays to their Macbook Air M1? If so, how???

The M1 Mac supports one external display. Using DisplayLink does not change the spec. If you do get two external displays connected using DisplayLink, you will not be happy with the performance. It may not even perform to what is required by your apps.

Thunderbolt displays are not compatible with DisplayLink. Only HDMI or DisplayPort displays will work.

So, you can only use a single Thunderbolt display.
