Hello Abc16,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help get your photos transferred from your older iPhone to your new iPhone 14 Pro Max.

We see you viewed the Apple Support page for How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Depending on how you backed up your iPhone, you can transfer your data to your new iPhone:

"Select a method

Next, select one of these transfer methods.

Quick Start: Use your iPhone or iPad to automatically set up a new device.

iCloud: Transfer your data and purchased content to your new device from your previous device's iCloud backup.

iTunes or Finder: Transfer your data and purchased content to your new device from a backup you made with iTunes or Finder."

This Apple Support page has the full details: Transfer data from your previous iOS or iPadOS device to your new iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Or if you're using iCloud Photos for your photos, you can simply turn on iCloud Photos:

"Turn on iCloud Photos

Make sure that you set up iCloud and sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on all of your devices. If you have a PC, you need Windows 7 or later and iCloud for Windows.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap iCloud.
  3. Tap Photos, then turn on iCloud Photos."

Explained on this Apple Support page: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

This should help transfer the photos to your new iPhone or sync them from iCloud.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

Cheers!
