AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) issues!

I recently bought the new AirPods Pro 2nd and I can confirm that the sound quality is wonderful. But I have some problems that I notice with the device.

Battery - The battery in my case dies faster than the previous generation, in addition the right earphone has charging and battery problems.

Connection Problems - There are cases where the headphones disconnect out of nowhere when I am on the bus and train and there is also a static sound in the right headphone.

Can apple give me a new one because I'd rather have it replaced than fixed?

I am now on my second pair of the AirPod Pro 2nd gen. First were returned in effort to fix issue that persists with second pair delivered. No issues with headphones when playing music but phone calls are horrendous. I get loud crackling sounds while on calls - doesn’t matter if Wi-Fi on/off, same w ANC and spatial audio. Doesn’t matter where I am or if other Bluetooth devices on or off. I did not have this issue with the 1st Gen AirPod Pros

Hi Frankgua,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

It's possible that resetting your AirPods will resolve the issues you are experiencing. Here's How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

"You might need to reset your AirPods if they won't charge, or to fix a different issue.

  1. Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Open the lid of your charging case.
  4. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, or Settings > [your AirPods], and tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods. If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth or in Settings > [your AirPods], just go to the next step.
  5. Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
  6. With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
  7. Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen."

If the issue remains unresolved, you should Contact Apple Support for service options.

Have a fantastic day!
