Find newly synced photos in iCloud for windows?

iCloud for windows was drastically revised without warning making it mostly unusable. Has anyone found a way to just access newly synced photos?

Windows, Windows 10

Hi Matthew_J5,

Thank you for the article you referenced. Let me clarify based on another day of troubleshooting. The article published October 06, 2021 contains references to iCloud for windows 7, which is the version I was using until it stopped downloading new photos around October 1. However, download links in the article go to a page published September 13, 2022 with a link to download a different version from the Microsoft store. This version has very different functionality and in my opinion is unusable for its intended purpose. Instead of upload and download folders containing files, it creates a folder with virtual links to iCloud photos, but without a way to rename, edit, or delete them. Viewing causes delay for the file to be downloaded. The picture can't be edited without the extra steps of manually copying it to another location before opening. I hope that Apple is able to fix iCloud for windows to either sync complete files or return to uploading and downloading files.

Is there a way to download iCloud for windows 7 mentioned in the article you referenced?

Thank you.
