Why can’t we use our mobile hotspot data to download software updates on connected devices? Why can’t we use our mobile hotspot data to download software updates on connected devices? I ask this because there was a time when I was able to do software updates on my iPad using the hotspot on my iPhone. Its absolutely possible. I have 40 gigs of data and a fast enough connection. So why not? Furthermore, with all of the recent threats to security and the panic that ensued when Apple urged users to update recently, wouldn’t this be a very important capability for those of us without other means of connectivity? I am sending this to Apple as well.
