So when I plug my hdmi from my MacBook Pro to my tv the picture is fine but when the sound comes through the tv it comes out all jittery and gets really annoying so then I have to play it out the speaker which is quite when with a few people don’t know if anyone knows a solution to this and it’s not the cable because I bought a brand new cable and the exact same thing happens

In that case, check out the audio section of Connect to HDMI from your Mac - Apple Support to make sure that your audio output settings are correct. If available, further isolate this by testing another HDMI cable adapter (if using) and port.
To rule out any interference between other system sounds, go to the Apple menu () > System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects (tab). From there, try selecting your TV in the 'Play sound effects through' dropdown menu. For general guidance regarding these settings, check out Change the alert sounds on Mac - Apple Support.
