Recent call list

Only one idea - go into your Contacts app and scrutinise the entries for the erroneous names which are displaying in your calls. Inspect also your husband's entry and your own. Do this on both iPhones.

Sometimes a field is populated by the wrong data - a phone number in an email address field for example. I've seen this happen before so perhaps that is playing a part in this unusual behaviour?

I also have this problem with my new (used) iphone XS. The first number displayed is the actual number that I called or that called me and the second is a random number out of my contacts or recent calls. It makes it so that I cannot call back a missed call by tapping it as it will try to make a 3 way call that includes the phantom number. I have checked my contacts and they all look like they transferred from my old phone correctly and they aren't linked or anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is happening to my wifes phone too and cant figure this out - HELP!

It's a bug. You need to delete all the entries in the Recents list. Then, for good measure, restart the phone. That should fix it.
