Assuming your iPad has a Lightning connector, you will require either an Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter (recommended), or an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter.

Don’t be deceived by the names of these adapters - as they are bona-fide USB Adapters for connecting many USB devices (including keyboards and storage devices - and cameras) to your iPad.
The Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter is slightly more expensive, but is significantly more versatile in that it offers fast connection and a pass-through Lightning connector for the iPad Power Adapter. As such, you can charge the iPad while still being connected to the USB accessory.
