Apple School Manager

In Apple School Manager, my district has the sync connected via SIS so the classes and students sync overnight. The issue we are running into is that classes from the previous year are not being removed and new classes continue to be created each year. Now the teachers/students are having issues with having multiple classes. Does Apple School Manager have a setting that allows the former classes to be removed? Do former classes need to be removed one by one each year?
