Issue with group message texts after update

When I click on messages app and I hit new message, if I type in a group contact name, it will not come up. I have to enter each person in individually. This just happened with the most recent update. How do I fix this?

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Which update are you referring to?
