Issues calling my child’s iphone

My daughter has an iPhone 12 and I have an IPhone 11

She can call me. When I call her it goes through to voicemail. Occasionally it will ring. I am not blocked on her phone and she isn’t blocked on mine

both our software is up to date

I'd start by contacting your carrier.

Also, are you sharing an Apple ID? That can have some weird, unforeseen consequences.
