Hi. Recently my iPhone sends new emails from my me.com address as opposed to iCloud.com. I cannot find where to change the default for new emails. Can anyone help?
On iPad or iPhone the "From" address can be changed only if you have multiple accounts added to the iOS mail app.
Simply compose a new email, tap on CC or To or From
And then tap on From to change the account
The default will be Setteing > Mail > Default account >
Thank you that just gives me the option to select the default account which is set to iCloud but when i compose a new email it comes from me.com. I can change it manually when i compose a new email but can’t find where to change the default
Yes i can change it when i compose a new mail but the next time i compose a mail it changes back to me.com.
It the settings i can only select the default account which is iCloud but within iCloud i have 2 addresses - @me.com and. @icloud.com and i want all new emails to be sent from the iCloud address
I think i fixed it. I had to open iCloud email on my laptop and change the default there. A few minutes later it changed on my phone.
Settings>Mail... scroll down to the bottom... tap option "Default Account" and input your email address.
