Save all photos from iMessage to the phone

This question seems to pop up occasionally for single or perhaps a 'few' images.

How does one transfer all photos from iMessages to Phots on the iPhone itself.

In 'text' copy operations one is asked if one wants to select a word, or a few letters, or 'select all'.

I need the equivalent for the photos in a message thread, to 'back them up' independent of accessing them with iMessage.

Hi jeclarkiii,

Currently there is not a way to save all photos from Messages to the Photos app. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, so we encourage you to leave feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

This is the best way to have your voice heard by our designers and engineers.

You can quickly save photos from a sender by using these steps: Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

"Find attachments from a conversation

  1. Open the message.
  2. Tap the name of the contact at the top of the message. If you're using iOS 14 or earlier, or iPadOS, tap the Info button .
  3. You'll see Photos and Links. Touch and hold an image or attachment to show options like Save, Copy, Share, and Delete.:

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
