Files not highlighted for upload

Why are some files not available to upload on a webpage? Some files are not highlighted??

Unable to drag and drop files from Safari download list to other platforms For about a month ago, since then I am experiencing this issue. Once I have download a file using my safari browser, if I drag the file from the download list that appears on the right hand corner of the screen next to share, and try to drop it to any places that allow file drag and drop upload, or even to send that file via WhatsApp, the file appears to be either not accepted by the platform or some platform even says that the files is corrupted, and some even say that this format is not compatible. But the file downloads in the download folder and if tried to upload from the download folder, it works like magic. i have tried several things, like uninstalling all the extensions, resetting the browser and so on, still unable to solve the problem. Downloading files in safari on ipad not working. Anyone else? Since updating to iPadOS 18.5, Safari downloads aren’t saving properly. When I download an image, it appears in Safari’s Downloads list, but instead of saving to my selected folder (iCloud Drive or local storage), Safari opens the image in a preview window with only ‘Save to Photos’ or ‘Save to Downloads’ options. Before this update, images downloaded automatically to my default folder. Other browsers like Firefox and DuckDuckGo store downloads normally, but Chrome won’t download at all. It seems like Safari is treating downloads as temporary cache files rather than actual saved files.

Fully downloaded files showing 0% on files app I am facing an issue since yesterday. I downloaded the pdfs of my class assignments and they are visible in the downloads section of safari. But when I try to open them in the files app, it is showing 0% downloaded. How do I fix it?

Without more context, we can only speculate. The most likely reason is only some file types are accepted by that website. For example, if you were to post an image here in the forum, you’d be able to select png or jpeg files but not pdf, text or word files.
