Screentime for a child not working...

We have a problem where, although we can set screentime "on" for our son, it does not seem to impact his iPhone?

On the Screen Time screen (accessed via Settings) in the 'device section' at the top, it does not show is iPhone (it does show his iPad).

Any ideas?

Hello DTagg64,

Let's also check the Settings > Screen Time menu directly on your child's iPhone to see if it reflects that Screen Time is enabled. This resource can help with that process: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

"Turn on Screen Time

  1. Go to Settings > Screen Time.
  2. Tap Turn On Screen Time, then tap it again.
  3. Select This is My [device] or This is My Child's [device].

After you turn on Screen Time, you'll see a report showing how you use your device, apps, and websites. If it's your child's device, you can set up Screen Time and create settings on their device or you can use Family Sharing to configure your child’s device from your device. After you set up your child’s device, you can also use Family Sharing to see reports and adjust settings from your device."

If their device reflects that Screen Time is enabled, does restarting their iPhone have any impact on that behavior, even if only temporarily? Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Also, is their iPhone all up to date? Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
