Got a new iphone and my iMessages are not downloaded on my new phone

Do you use iCloud for Messages on your old iPhone? If YES, then on your new iPhone, open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ iCloud ➡️ Messages: Ensure that this switch is set to ON.
