iPhone system data

Wondering how I can reduce my system data? One minute it’s 32gb then it goes up to 200 something.

I just updated to the iPhone 14 pro max 256gb and all my storage is being taken up by this system data.

Hi Hanahi,

From what I understand from others who have suffered similarly:

If you use iCloud, the inflated system storage may be temporary.

Seems iCloud uses the system data to re-sync all your files and arrange them in the various categories.

If your iPhone is kept powered up, and connected to wifi, including overnight, it can take up to 48 hours.

Then you should get a correct reading of all storage data. (If interrupting the process, could take longer.)

All the best :-)
