Buying a new iPhone online

When buying an iPhone online can I choose not to pick a carrier? What if I want a brand new phone with a brand new number?

Will my new iPhone be unlocked?

Every iPhone you buy from us online or in an Apple Store is unlocked, with the exception of a few carrier financing options. With an unlocked iPhone, you’re free to go with the carrier of your choice.

with a brand new number?

Why not use the same phonenumber?

If you are satisfied and want to continue with the same carrier, you can use the SIM card from the ‘old’ iPhone.

That is also handy then you don't have to change anything, you use the same number.

If the SIM format is different, visit or contact your carrier and request a replacement SIM card, normally it is free.
