need passcode for face id
why my iphone randomly ask for passcode for the face id even its just a moment im running ios 16.0.2 on ip 11 pro.

Face ID is the shortcut for the passcode when you’re opening up your iPhone, not the other way ‘round. You need the passcode. Face ID means needing and using the passcode less often, but the passcode is required after a restart, and after a reboot, and again every couple of days. If you don’t remember or don’t know the iPhone passcode, you will have to reset the iPhone.
