Auto-pause off, still auto-pausing…

I remove my watch to bench press, because I wear wrist wraps. I have turned auto-pause off, but my watch still automatically pauses my workout. Is there a fix for this?

Apple Watch Keeps Pausing My Apple Watch Series 7 keeps pausing my workout. I have auto-pause turned off and I also have press to pause turned off as well. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? I also have to wear the watch on the inside of my wrist, as that’s the only way it seems it’ll sometimes track my workout. The issue is worse if I wear the watch properly. I have also ensured my Apple Watch is up to date.

Auto Pausing even AFTER disabled Why does my new Apple Watch Series 8 keep pausing during workouts? This occurs indoors in treadmill or during dumbbell and calisthenics as well as outdoors. I have disable both the Auto pause and the press to pause features. I have o my been able to complete one workout (walking) without having to press resume over the course of the last several weeks.

yeah if everything from the generic support page worked I wouldn’t be asking the question here. Auto pause is off, and the screen is locked, so the buttons or touchscreen aren’t getting accidentally pushed. There should be a setting to never ever stop a workout unless instructed…
