i don't see the thumbnail in the corner of my screen after taking a screenshot, so I can't click on it and edit the screenshot, in case if I take a screenshot to my clickboard. how can I enable the appearing of the thumbnail?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 12.1

Press "command shift 5", make sure the floating thumbnail is selected.

It won't appear if you are sending it to the clipboard.
