how do I turn off “snap into place” for apps on home screen on iPhone?

Tap & hold on the app, then drag to the Home screen & drop it.

How can I keep apps on my Home Screen on my iPhone? How can I prevent people from removing my apps from the home screen on my iPhone? It gets annoying having to go in the App Library every single time I want to open an app or game. [Edited by Moderator]

If I understand your question, you can't. Apps are added in a grid to the next available space on the page. You can't leave a space empty and you can't change the spacing between apps.
