I saw an old post on this, but no solution. I have an M1 Mac Mini. I signed up for Apple Music and after doing so when I open the app on my Mac it sits there for two or three seconds and then closes. I contacted Apple Support and did everything they suggested including reinstalling the OS. The apps on my iPhone and iPad work fine. Is there ever going to be a fix for this? Thanks.

Hold down option+cmd as you launch Music. Does it open correctly now?
If not hold down option as you launch Music, then select the option to create a new library. Does that work?

Thanks turningtest2. It does seem to work although it opens the app in safe mode. Too bad Apple can't get it to work right. I really appreciate the answer and will continue to test it out.

Sometimes opening the app once in safe mode is enough to fix things such that it opens normally thereafter.
