Update Apple ID Settings?

My Apple TV 4K box is asking for me to update id settings, in order to so this it says to hold your apple device (ipad or iPhone) nearby and wait for a message to pop up so i have my ipad ready to do this and the problem is that your other apple device (iPhone or ipad) must be running iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 or later the latest update for IPadOS is 15.7, 16 does not exist yet, how exactly does apple expect us to update id settings using an update that doesn’t exist yet??
