Your iPhone and mac must be on the same wi-fi network

Hello

I have Montery running on my M1 MacBook Pro and iOS 16 running on iPhone SE.

Getting following error "Your iPhone and mac must be on the same wi-fi network" when tried making phone calls from Mac.

I have tried all the solutions mentioned on

Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and

Your iPhone and mac must be on the same w… - Apple Community but nothing worked.

Please help.

Do you have a dual-channel WiFi router with the same SSID for both. I don't think it should cause a problem, but make sure they are both connected to the same channel on the router. If you hold down Option key and open the WiFi menu, you should see the connection information listed.

Sorry but my router doesn't support dual band. Also, there seems to be no way of knowing which channel my iPhone is using.

If you don't have dual band, then they are on the same channel/band/frequency.

Yeah checked now. There are all on 2.4GHz. No dual band on my router.
