How to search iTunes store for artist?

Hi,

I have iTunes open; in preferences, I have 'iTunes store' selected. I click on 'iTunes Store' in the side bar of the main window and now I'd like to search for an artist. As soon as I go up to the search window at the top of the sidebar, it says (in the main window) 'Searching your Library'.

How do I search the iTunes store itself?
